Stina Rock
Stina Rock () is a conical rock, 35 m high, lying off Cape Pride in the east side of the entrance to Elsehul, off the north coast of South Georgia. The name "Pillar Rock" was probably given by Lieutenant Commander J.M. Chaplin, Royal Navy, during his survey of Elsehul in 1930, but this same name is more frequently used for a feature 1.5 nautical miles (2.8 km) away in Bird Sound than it is for this rock. "Pillar Rock" has therefore been rejected for the feature now described and a new name substituted; Stina Rock, proposed by the United Kingdom Antarctic Place-Names Committee (UK-APC) in 1957, is for the buoy-boat (ex-catcher) Harbor.
